Job Description

As Group Financial Controller, you have a broad and varied role. You are partly responsible for the reporting process of the 54 countries in which EDCO is active. But also matters in the field of tax, compliance and M&A related activities are part of your package of tasks. You work closely together in a small and close-knit team and you are challenged to investigate and tackle (complex) financial issues. In doing so, you have a lot of contact with the business and you participate in fun and challenging projects. This is a varied and independent position in an environment with a very pleasant working atmosphere where you can develop yourself broadly. You report to the Manager Group Financial Control.

Your tasks will include:

• The consolidation process of the group and the coordination thereof with the (foreign) entities;

• Coordinating the process around the monthly closing;

• Preparing the annual accounts and the audit;

• Optimizing the financial processes, aimed at, for example, accelerating the process around the monthly closing;

• Co-responsible for the tax returns and advising on various tax issues;

• Drawing up and analyzing management and ad hoc reports;

• Following the laws and regulations and ensuring that changes in these are implemented correctly;

• Participating in various projects, such as the implementation of a new ERP package and a consolidation tool;

• Sparring partner and advisor on (complex) financial issues.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a financial field (Business Economics, Accountancy, etc.).
• 3+ years of relevant experience as a financial controller, (assistant) auditor, or a similar position.
• Experience with (complex) consolidation tasks.
• Comfortable working in a dynamic, commercially-driven environment.
• Strong communication skills.
• Fluent in English.
